Using any proxy?
If you are using any proxy, please check that it does not interrupt the download. I had the same problem while downloading, and once I gave required access in proxy it went through.

Hi Ruju, no i am not using
Hi Ruju,
no i am not using proxy the machine has full nat access to the internet
is there a way to download the packages seperately and initiation the update install
or maybe instructing update download to continue from the step it last stoped on
it is downloading the first 4 packages then stopping.
Keep running 'update download'
If the 'update download' fails, don't worry just keep running the command and eventually you'll have all the packages. Some packages may take some time, but just keep doing it and you'll get there.

solution
Hi guys,
After looking the error i got on symantec I found the below KB I also included the exact solution Copy Past
http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-gate.nsf/...
Problem:
The response to the CLI command "update download" includes the following errors:
Err http://localhost i386/stable usbutils 0.11-1
Could not connect to localhost:8080 (127.0.0.1). - connect (111 Connection refused)
Failed to fetch http://localhost:8080/products/smsapp/prod/i386/RP... Error reading from server Remote end closed connection
Solution:
Login to the command line interface (CLI) as admin
Type the following command:
service controlcenter stop
Type the following command:
service agent stop
Type the following command:
update download
After the update download command completes, type:
update install
To fully seat the updates, initiate a restart of the operating system by typing:
reboot
Cheers...
