  • 1.  Symantec Management Agent Install Scheduled Push to Computers not saving

    Posted Jan 30, 2014 03:34 PM

    SMC Version 7.5.1670 NS 7.5

I was going in to start the sheduled push for the Symantec Mangagement Agent.  I set the filter "Windows Computers with no Symantec Management Agent", which is the one i always use.  I turn on the policy as normal, then go to click Save and the page refreshes as normal.  if I click on anything after this the popup shows up asking to either Leave the Page, or Stay on the Page, suggesting I didn't click the Save, button.  No matter what I do it does not save.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have any of the 3 hotfixes installed?

I get the "Cannot enable the schedule, at least one resource target must be selected."  I found Agent PushData with a bad guid of 0000000......    and deleted it.  I have also restarted the server and none of this has worked.

I have been able to successfully turn on this feature using its default configuration on my 7.5 HF3 system.

Target = Windows Computers with no Symantec Management Agent Installed

    Shared Schedule = Daily

Is your setup different in any way?

That is the same setup I have, but I was able to get it to work.  I selected a computer to manually rollout the agent to and also set up the scheduled push as normal.  I then click Save and everything worked fine.  I removed the computer from the manual rollout and was able to edit and save the scheduled push as normal.  It looks like something got confused and when I did this it corrected itself.  Probably not the correct way but it worked.
