Symantec Management Console v 7.1 Add To Groups?
Hello,
For future reference in case I would like to uninstall the Altiris Client from all the machines the agent is installed on, and push the unistall. I beleive the most effecient way would be to create a group with the machines with the installed agent. When you are on the "Manage" tab under "Computers", on the left pane there is a "Saved Search" in the default for "Installed Agent". I want to be able to just export what is in there currently into a new group that I have created (I've named it "Uninstall" if you needed that info for any reason). I tried exporting the data into an XML file, but I got errors and it didn't work. I was wondering if there is any way to pull the data in the default "Installed Agent" list, or if there isn't, what do I need to do to make this happen?
Thanks

There are many ways to uninstall the Altiris Agent on managed computers and two of those methods are:
1) Policy method: Settings -> Agents/Plug-ins \ Symantec Management Agent \ Windows \ Symantec Management Agent for Windows - Uninstall. Configure the target for apply to computers with Symantec Management Agent installed.
2) Push method: Settings -> Agents/Plug-ins \ Symantec Management Agent \ Symantec Management Agent Install. On Rollout Agent to computers, click on Select Computers and add the target computers with Altiris Agent. Also is posible to import computers to a selected file. After these steps you could use the Uninstall button to start the uninstall process.

Thanks. Option 1 was what I was more or less looking for. I'm still not sure how to import from the "Installed Agent" list directly and make a new group, but I'll probably not need to do that if I do Option 1.
Not sure what list you refer to, you can export from a list in a report but not the list in a filter or target. You could find a report based on a filter and use that to generate a list of all machines and export that.
