Message Audit Logs are not stored in the database, so they are not available to backups generated by the Control Center. To backup Messag Audit Logs you would use the mallog command from the command line of the scanners (Message Audit Logs are stored on the Scanners that processed the message). The mallog command can both backup and restore.
So, if your backup is via the Control Center, it is not possible. If you backed up with the mallog command line command, you would use that same command to restore the Message Audit Logs on a scanner. I would suggest creating a temporary virtual scanner to restore to, so you do not overwrite current Message Audit Logs on live scanners.
