    Hi.

I've configured a Symantec Messaging Gateway Directory Integration by adding 2 Domain Controller of the same domain and same forest (not Global Catalog).

    All work perfectly.

When I log in into my quarantine page, if both DC are enableb, I receive error message of password or account name invalid.

On logs page, there are error message wich indicate

[1318345484053] 800501 com.symantec.sms.dds.api.exception.UserNameNotUniqueException: User name username is not unique. The following entries share the same user name: cn=username,ou=1,ou=1,dc=dc,dc=local; cn=1

(I changed the information on user, dc and ou with data that are not real)

if I disable one of DC, all work fine.

    What are the problem?

    Sorry for my english.

    Daniele.

You cannot have two direcotries with the same data. It looks like both the servers you have integrated have the same data.

We only support the same data being in Recipient Validation sources for HA purposes.  For all other sources,  the directories need to be unique and cannot contain the same data.

    Thanks for response.

So, solution is to add only one DC or add 2 dc and enable only one for authentication?

If dc enabled for autentication is offline, users are not allowed to login into their quarantine page?

You can add multiple DC for diffrent purposes. If you need only authentication, then only one dc is needed.

Yes end user quarantine access will stop working when the dc is offline.
