The Messaging Gateway does not work with Hyper-V. You will need to use the supported platform of VMWare's ESXi 4.0 or 5.0.

Maalesef SMG Hyper-V desteklememekte, sanallaştırma alt yapısı olarak Vmware ESXi kullanabilirsin. Ayrıca donanımsal olarak Appliance şeklinde de mevcuttur.

As JDavis mentioned above Hyper-V not supported for SMG, you can use Vmware ESXi as a Virtualization baseline and also there's a physical appliance available.

Is this hyper-v 2.0 as a standalone or on Windows Server 2008? Can we get the basic configuration and other details of the hyper-v deployment on which SMG was being installed?

Reiterating again that currently we do not support SMG on hyper-V.
