Symantec Outlook Add-In

We have deployed outlook Add-in on 2000 machines but some users are having problems.

1. SMS push was not successful.
2. Manual install does not bring the enterprise vault icons

We restarted the machines but no luck. Its been 2 days and have installed outlook add-in multiple times.

NO Icons / No menu under tools.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure the user is enabled?
Have you opened up the mailbox on a PC that you know is working?
Have you run EVResetClient.exe?

What version of the Client are you running?
What OS & SP?
What version of outlook?

Are the SMS clients working or not?

Any more information would help us troubleshoot your problem.

Have you opened up the mailbox on a PC that you know is working? Yes I can see the icons plus the shortcuts
Have you run EVResetClient.exe? No, dont know about that.

What version of the Client are you running? 7.5 SP 5
What OS & SP? Win XP SP 2
What version of outlook? 2003 SP 3

Are the SMS clients working or not? out of 2000 users only 5 or 6 has this problem

I looked at the %temp% directory but manual installs does not create any logs. I see old SMS push logs which says users is not enabled.

All outlook users are running in cache mode.

are you sure that their profile is set to cached mode and not outlook anywhere...

Its company policy as per GPO : Cache mode

Do you think Outlook 2003 SP 3 has outlook anywhere feature?

Yes, Outlook 2003 can take advantage of the Outlook Anywhere feature of Exchange 2007.
