Is there any way to reset the password to enter into the console for Symantec Policy Manager 5.1.7.3131?  It had an expiry set to the password and looks like whilst I've been away someone has changed the password and has not recorded it and we can now no longer get into the console.  Is it a job of now uninstalling and reinstalling the Policy Manager or can something thing be done?

Please note this is the Symantec Endpoint Protection for Windows XP Embedded.

I'm afraid I can't seem to find any articles on this for SEP for XP Embedded.  All my search results keep referring to the resetpass.bat file from SEP11.  Perhaps you could see if that exists on your Policy Server (normally found in "<InstallationDirectory>\Tools")?

The only other thing I can suggest is to log a case with Symantec Support.

    Hi Boeky,

Good news- there is a way to reset that password.  For security reasons, though, it cannot be posted publically here.

Do call Technical Support and they will be be able to walk you right through the procedure.  Feel free to mention TECH102417.

    Many thanks! &: )
