  • 1.  Symantec Protection Engine 7.x Definition Updates/Shadowing

    On the latest versions of SPE 7.x is it possible to shadow the AV definitions of the locally installed SEP instance on the scanning servers.

    We used to have this working with SSE 5.2 when SEP 10 was installed...  when SEP 12 was deployed shadowing broke and now we want to upgrade to SPE 7.5 we'd really like to resolve the definition sync/shadow issue.

    I'd appreciate some guidance on this.

    Have you seen this doc:

    In short, SEP 12.1 no longer shares defs so you need to configure scan engine to update to get updates from LU, see here:
