Protection Engine for Network Attached Storage

Hello, Netapp distribute a new data on tap version 8.1.4. My question is, does symantec protection engine 7.0 or 7.5 support this netapp version? Regards, Slava Antonenko

The likely hood is that it will work with 7.5.  But it is down to Netapp to make their OS work with protection engine, not the other way round.  If you call Symantec tech support to ask if X Y Z NAS works with SPE, they will say that its down to the vendor to certify that it works. 

Historically SPE has worked very well with OnTap.
