    Hi,

    I have downloaded trialware of Symantec Protection for SharePoint servers (SPSS) from the site: http://www.symantec.com/business/products/support.jsp?pcid=pcat_security&pvid=829_1
     
    I have installed SPSS on my machine. Both the compenents of SPSS are installed, Scan Engine and SPSS console. However, i'm unable to activate the scan engine which is essential to get SPSS talking to it. Scan engine console asks for valid scan engine license file for activation. However, any such file doesnt come along with the installable.
     
    Could you please help?

    I checked the same and found that when you go for the download of the triaware for Symantec Protection for SharePoint Servers from the Web Site mentioned, you need to register and after the registration you will be asked to fill a survey. 

    Once you are done wiht the survey, there is a email sent to your email account which has a 30 Day Trialware License.

    The attachment looks like 18245771.slf.zip. You will have to extract it, as it is a zip file.
