    Hi all,

    I have a question regarding the symantec protection suite Enterprise Edition.

    There is a mention for Data Loss Prevention in several places through the document but it is not clear if the package includes a license for Symantec Data Loss Prevention (Network Prevent for Email) or Not? if not then what Data Loss Prevention are they talking about? how is this provided if not through Network Prevent for email?

    This is very confusing and I need to know what the customer will be entitled to when he buys this bundle.

    There 2 sides for this story:

    1) Symantec Protection Suite Enterprise Edition does not include any DLP components.

    2) Symantec Protection Suite Enterprise Edition for Endpoints (which is different from just SPS EE) does include DLP Standard. As I know this is the only DLP component in SPS editions and on the other hand SPS EE for Endpoints is the only SPS edition that has DLP on board. DLP Standard is an endpoint solution only.

    Also be aware that if you do use the DLP features of SPS EE for endpoints, it requires that you also purchase the Oracle database license for this product.  something that should be considered since it will add an additional $3000+ for the license with support options.
