symantec scan engine license

I'll start with the implementation of the scan engine with product name SYMC ANTIVIRUS SCAN ENGINE 5.2 BNDL STD WEB SERVER GOV BAND S ESSENTIAL 12month. and quantity is 8.
1. what is the scan engine web server, is equal to the scan engine
2. how calculations and workings license scan engine, is calculated each application (server) which connect to the scan engine, or any application of scan engines have a license?
3. quantity purchased is 8, is 8 applications scan engine or 8 applications that may connect to the scan engine?
4. how to see the quantity and the license of the scan engine console?

Web server licensing is per web server, so you have 8 licenses, meaning you can have 8 web servers connecting to your scan engines.  You can have as many scan engines as you like, but they can only connect to a maximum of 8 web servers, so it is different than the Symantec Scan Engine 5.2 as the licensing is per server rather than per user or per TB.

It's recommended to have multiple scan engines per server if they have lots of traffic, and configuring them all with shared redundancy is also recommended.
