Is Symantec Security Information Manager still available?

Is the Symantec Security Information Manager still available? I do not see it listed on the Symantec web site Products A-Z section. Did I miss the memo or was there a name change?

Yes, I see the support information and documentation but is it still for sale? I do not see see it listed in the Products section of the web site so I assume it is no longer being offered for sale.

Yes, still available and updated.

It's on the products page under Security Information Manager.

If you're looking to buy it....don't.  An announcement is forthcoming.

Please tell me you're not serious? Can you PM me with further details because we had some big plans for this moving forward.

Please disregard. I don't speak for Symantec and they will share their plans when you ask them.

Thank you to all the people who keep sending me support links for the SIM but I assume that like any hardware / software manufacturer Symantec will maintain support for the product for 5+ years after it is discontinued. My point is that the SIM is no longer listed in the Products A-Z section of the front page of their web site.

I have attached a screen shot to illustrate my point.

I suspect no matter what happens with it moving forward, it will always have information available in the Knowledge Base. As a networking guy, I know Cisco has documentation available on routers they haven't sold in 15 years.

Since mathell seems to confirm my suspicions, it looks like it is time to call ArcSight.

Interesting it doesn't show for you as it still shows for me.

Either way, I need to get more details on this.
