  • 1.  Symantec SEP 12.1 (RU1) - high memory usuage

    Hello,

     

    since we have installed SEP 12.1 (with or without RU1) we have the problem that running processes are uses much memory.

    in detail it is a citrix server on a windows 2003 server sp2 and patches.

    we use the "key launch smcgui = 0"

     

    here are examples:

    proquate.exe  3,7 MB

    with SEP 12  6,5 MB

     

    wfshell.exe  7,5 MB

    with SEP 12 17 MB

     

    launcher.exe 3,4 MB

    with SEP 12 5,9 MB

     

    the memory usuage is independent from the installes features !

     

    i have opened a Symantec case - but i still waiting for a solution

     

     

     

     

    how can i find the cause and how can i fix this

    this is one of many other problems !!!

    logoff problem with process ccsvchst.exe
    ccsvchst.exe block the start of the selected programm - in this case i the always the theads - IDSSEttg.dat (Fast io disallowed)

    Take a dump of the process that is taking high memory and ask support to have a look.

    The Dump would give a better picture.
