I was testing SEP 12.1.5 unmanged client and tried the anti-pishing test at http://www.amtso.org/check-desktop

The page loads, so it appears like SEP fails to detect the page as phising. Since, symantec being an active memeber at AMTSO, failure to detect is big disappointment. Is this something which just happend to me or are there others too who found the same issue. It would be greatful if other comunity members can confirm the missed detection by SEP and changes made in client confirgrations.

SEP doesn't detect phishing attempts. This is outside of its scope.

The closest is download insight which will scan file download to check for good or bad reputation.

I guess this is something which symantec needs to look upon and bring in its future release/ version. Phishing is one of the major concers for firms operating in regulated environment, and not having that feature embeded in the security solution could be a major security flaw.
