 Sigi- Good morning I have

 Sigi-

Good morning I have looked through our database and I have not found that application crashing with Kernel32.dll. We would recommend attaching ADPlus to SFWConfigPanel.exe then when a crash occurs a case needs to be opened with Symantec support so that the proper resources can be used to determine the best course of action forward.

Here is a link to the Microsoft KB article on using ADPlus - support.microsoft.com/kb/286350

Sincerely,

SFWConfigPanel.exe app crash

I can confirm this behavior as I see this as well. I did find a link that indicates this is a problem with VSF 5.1 (http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/318152.htm). However, in my case I installed v5.1 w/SP1 slipstreamed directly from "VRTS_SF_HA_Solutions_5.1_SP1_Windows_64_SlipStream.zip", which I downloaded form Symantec's website. The version of Windows is Server 2008 Enterprise (w/sp2 and w/o Hyper-V).

Well here is the Workaround

Well here is the Workaround for us.
This is a problem with UAC

Disable SFWConfigPanel from autostart: go to Start-> RUN and type SCC -> Rightclick the exe "Run as Administrator" -> uncheck: "Don't show this console again".
The exe file is located in: c:\Program Files\Veritas\winsolutions\bin
The panel can be launched anytime from the start menu if required.
