Created: 17 Mar 2013 | 5 comments

Everytime I try to install SSR I get about 1/3 into the install and I get the message.

The installation was canceled before Symantec System Recovery could be cpmpletely installed.

Your computer has not been modified. To install this program at a later time. Please run the installation program again.

Any help here.

Your right I have Ghost 15 still installed. Is there a way to leave Ghost 15 while I try the trial verison of SSR.

This user was helped on the Norton forum.

The answer was no, you can't have both installed but you can always reinstall Ghost 15 after the trial of SSR 2013. (thanks Red).

When you uninstall Ghost 15 you can also choose the option to retain the history and SSR 2013 will be able to manage and use the previous images.

Call me crazy but wouldn't a "real" product mention something like, "Installation could not complete becaues Norton Ghost is installed. Please uninstall and reattempt installation."

I guess the other option is to have prospective users scrambling into forums and through documentation that some might insist they should have read and consider this a training exercise. Me, I would think the best course is what makes the product easiest to use.
