Symantec: Traffic has been blocked for this application TOMCAT6.EXE

    We are having symantec endpoint protection anti virus and tomcat 6 has been installed on the application server. The symantec is blocking the tomcat exe occasionally from accessing the applications. The error look like:

    [SID: 29049] Web Attack: Wordpress Arbitrary File Download 4 attack blocked. Traffic has been blocked for this application: C:\PROGRAM FILES\APACHE SOFTWARE FOUNDATION\TOMCAT 6.0\BIN\TOMCAT6.EXE

    We already added an exception under symantec tool to exclude this from scan. Any body has any clue how to resolve this? Thank you.

    What type of exclusion did you add and where? This is for IPS so you need to add as an excluded host.
