The primary questions are:1.

The primary questions are:

1. Is this installation on Symantec Traffic Shaper appliance hardware (2u is too generic of an answer)?

2. Was the installation done using an OS Restore CD?

The above would need to be true for a proper installation. Otherwise, the software has not been tested or verified to work on other hardware installations.

If the above questions are true, you might be dealing with file system corruption. Check out the following KB and let us know if it helps:

he Symantec Traffic Shaper (STS) alerts to hard drive space problems when none exist.

I don't think Symantec has

I don't think Symantec has ever sold a 2U server model for the Traffic Shaper product line.  This product is not a soft appliance, and can only be sold on the specific hardware provided by Symantec (8160 appliances).

Appliances

Brightmail Traffic Shaper uses his own series of Appliances 8160 which are more or less the same Hardware as the  8260 or the 8360. Other Brightmail Gateway Appliances like 8240 will not work.

As the appliances are based on a DELL Poweredge-Server using a generic Poweredge Server may also cause problems cause the configuration may be different.
