symantec Update deployment.

Hi everyone,

I have installed symantec endpoint protection 12.1 and deployed some clients with push install menthod.Now i want to also push update to this clients from server.what are i should do in order to distribute updates from the server.(all clients did't have Internet access).so I have to setup an intranet update server.

are these clients managed clients? are clients supposed to get the updates from SEPM?

how is teh heartbeat set? is it in push mode or pull mode?

all clients are managed by the SEPM.

Push method is used to install the clients

thanks for the information, I wanted to check what is the heartbeat set?

are the clients not getting the updates?

Hello,

Is the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager taking updates?

Is there Internet connection running on the SEPM Server?

The Managed clients do take their definition updates from the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM).

The Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) communicates with each managed client upon the heart beat interval set and as per the Liveupdate Policy set.
