Symantec Vision Barcelona - And what event should the specialists attend?
Being an old Managefusion fan it is unfortunately really sad to go through the Session listing for Vision Barcelona. A total of 31 Altiris/Symantec Management Platform related sessions can be found. One (1) only for ServiceDesk v7 as an example!? This is a reduction from approximately 80 Altiris/SMP sessions in Las Vegas in April this year. Of course this is a result of dividing 120 sessions on all the different Symantec product - not much left for each product... Thus, in my perspective, it is really hard to get a good agenda together in Barcelona if you are specialist user in anyone of the Symantec products - Netbackup, Enterprise Vault, ServiceDesk, Application Delivery, Asset Management doesn't matter...
So please Symantec, let at least one of the future Visions be a larger event with enough sessions to give the specialists an event worth visiting as well!

Bearing in mind what a huge product portfolio Symantec offer, it becomes impossible to provide sufficient coverage in the session catalogue without making Vision at least a week long. How many of us can afford to take so much time out, unless it can run over a weekend.
Sooner or later, I expect we will see more targetted shows.

In Barcelona it is totally 120 sessions only, in Vegas in April it was 200 which more or less means twice as much per product/solution. If a small company like Altiris could offer their customers +100 sessions at Managefusion EMEA why can't Symantec offer more? I think it is good with the current large amount of local Visions but for sure I would prefer a BIG annual Vision with not only bredth but also the real depth I currently do miss at the Barcelona event.
