    Hello everyone.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to disable the Symantec Vulnerability Protection add-on popup for the browsers?

I have already disabled the function in SEP manager, but it keeps popping up on clients regardless. Is there any way to completely disable it, or do I have to uncheck IPS from the install package?

    Regards

To completely remove you would need to remove IPS component. But if you disable option in SEPM it should disable component as well, just not remove. Doid you confirm policy on client matches the SEPM after disabling in SEPM? These articles may help:

You should be able to disable it as well from the browser level - going into add-ons settings.

    Hello all

    Thanks for the replys.

The browser protection is definitely not enabled on the clients.

Removing the entire IPS seems to be the only solution to get rid of the popups in our browsers, which seems to be a bit of overkill in my opinion.

I guess its possible to automatically disable the add-on through GPOs, but I think that would only work with IE.

That's correct. Browser IPS is automatically installed when IPS component is installed. There is no other way around this other than to disable the Browser IPS from within the policy or by unchecking the box on the client.
