Hi,

  I am having Symantec Web Gateway 5.0.3.I need to know how to configure syslog server settings to generate syslog type of logs. Also is it better to use logfile or syslog in SWG 5.0.3.

Any suggestion would be recommended.

thanks.but it would be helpful if you can inform which syslog servers are to be added in the server settings of SWG

Hi Jyo23,

I normally use Linux box which has syslogd daemon enabled for SWG testing.

Configuration information for syslogd is held in the /etc/syslog.conf file in Linux box.

You may specify up to four syslog servers by listing the addresses separated by commas or newlines in SWG UI > configuration > syslog
