    Hi Guys,

We have two SWG Dell appliances deployed at a client side. Since morning we are observing high temperature around 50 on CIU interface for both SWG boxes. On physical inspection, we did not see any alert on Dell R200 diagnostic panel. Server seems to have no issue on physical inspection but CIU is reporting high temperature. Other equipment in same data center in next racks are working normall as well and there seems to be no issue with DC HVAC system as well.

I need to know that Does CIU report CPU temperature or server ambient temperature. I believe these new servers have auto shutdown option if a ambient temperature is above operating temperature threshold but servers are running without any alert on diagnostic front panel.

    Needs suggestions.

    Regards,

    Atif

We have a document refering to this scenario

CIU is reporting CPU heat warnings but the SWG does not indicate any heat warnings or send any warnings.: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH191043
