  • 1.  Symantec Web gateway Fail to authenticate all users correctly

    Our Symantec web gateway is configured with NTLM +  DC interface and we are using authentication no enforce.

    we taking a look at the authentication logs we find that users could be authenticated and then after 30 min not authenticated .

    is that normal  ?

    Symantec does not support the simultaneous use of NTLM and DC interface please pick one or the other.

    Hello

     

    Same here,i can see in many docs to choose NTLM or DC Interface. But i can't see the option in last version of Web Gateway 5.1 . I can configure NTLM, but don't see any option about DC Interface.

     

    I have 1500 clients, on some NTLM is working well, other one ask for login/password and don't pass the authenticate.

     

    With DC Interface, i see the first user log on the workstation, but if the user log off and another one coming, i have always the first one in the logs of the proxy.

    DC interface is not configured on the SWG but on the system it is installed to then forwards login events back to the SWG. the SWG must have the LDAP information populated to use DCinterface or NTLM.
