    I have Symantec.cloud deployed in my small network, and the Network Threat Component is taking control of the Windows Firewall. I have disabled the Smart Firewall in the cloud console, and I understand that the NTP takes control of Windows Firewall, but even with the Smart Firewall turned off, the client is still turning off Windows firewall. I need to able to turn on Windows Firewall without downloading the On-Premise Manager.

    Doesn't look to be possible per this article:

    Windows Firewall won't turn ON even with SMART Firewall turned OFF

    Solution

    There are no supported methods of reverting to the Windows Firewall while SEP Cloud is installed; the Smart Firewall can only be removed by completely uninstalling the product.

    That's a serious issue that needs to be addressed in future releases.
