Hello ,

I got some problem with my new pc , I have around 50 PC with same hardware .

amd semprom 2800
ecs 761gx-m754 (Lan card sis900 on board )
hdd sata II 80gb
memory 512


The problem is like this ...
1. I tried using NDIS2 driver from sis 900 . and it freeze when it enter initializing packet and IP ...

2. I tried using Universal LAN driver from GSS1.1 , it run ok , but when multicasting is very slow ... it said 14 hours just 40 gb image hard drive .


What could be the problem ? LAN Card driver or the SATA Drive ?

I tried also to clone local disk to disk ... 1 of 4 try .. it freeze when half way through.

Does the BIOS of that system board support a native mode as well as a compatibility mode for the SATA hard drive?.

If it does support compatibility mode, I would definitely give that a try.

If not, I would consider trying the -FNI switch setting as a test.

If you are able to image 1 machine at a relatively high speed, then it would appear to be an issue with the packet driver interface on the NIC not correctly responding to multicast frames.

What kind of switch / hub are you using to perform imaging?.

If you find that one machine is still relatively slow (<100mb on display of GhostCastServer), then I would start to think that there is a conflict between the NIC and the SATA drive.

Adding information such as the model of switch you are using might be able to help others help you with this issue.

Hello Thanks for the answer ..

today I tried 3 PC with DLINK network adapter , got the same result .
casting is very slow .... I tried to ping the client IP from the ghost casting server ..
got it have a lot RTO .

Im out of option what to try ..

I change hdd setting from IDE to RAID ...
