    Hi Suresh,

Which version of SEP are you suing currently??

If your AV client got corrupted due to some virus, then you need to reinstall the SEP client.

Please run cleanwipe tool to remove SEP completely fromt he client machines.

Pls note:- Do not run this tool on your SEPM server otherwise it will remove SEPm also.

You need to keep all your machines up-to-date with the latest version as well as latest definition.

Incase any of your machine is infected, try to update them with latest defintion and then further scan the machine in safe mode with system restore OFF.

This will eliminate viruses from your machine. If its a new variant, pls submit sample to symantec team on https://submit.symantec.com/gold or https://submit.symantec.com/platinum.

    Hi Suresh,

Are you using proxy on your server to update the definition if yes then you have to configure your proxy address and port in Admin -> Server Properties.

After doing this your home page will display the Definition version.

    Hi Suresh,

For New folder.exe first of all you have to subbit this to Symantec Security Team as SAM said after uploading samples files in three you receive a closing mail from Symantec Security Response Team for Rapid Release Definition.

You just apply the Rapid Release JDB manually and schedule a full scan this will resolve your newfolder.exe virus issue.
