SYMBDSNAP_SDK[31606]: Not enough Memory to hold relocationobjects

Created: 01 Nov 2013 | 2 comments

Hi,

We are running CentOS 6.4 and I manually rebuild and installed  symbdsnap-2.0.1-41781.src.rpm.

In the system log file, following error is seen.

SYMBDSNAP_SDK[31606]: Not enough Memory to hold  relocationobjects

Backup Exec runs a job to back up a file from the Linux Server.

Backup Exec is running on a Windows server, I could really use a solution for this problem.

Also in the Backup Exec Job Log following error is shown:

V-79-57344-34128 - Linux Snapshot Technology: An error occurred while trying to snap one or more volumes.

It will be great if you can help this problem.

Hello,

You might want to refer to http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH181019 to get a solution.

Note: Cent OS is officially not supported with Backup Exec 2012(based on the Software Compatibility List of Backup Exec 2012: http://www.symantec.com/docs/tech175581 ) but we could still see if the solution(s) in the above article apply.
