  • 1.  SYMEFA.SYS is causing blue screens , in SEPM 12.1.5

    Hi,

    SYMEFA.SYS still causing blue scren in SEPM 12.1.5. We have SEPM 12.1.5 on server 2008 and the machine on which the cause occured was server 2012 and server 2003 SP2. Please find the attached file. Can anyone suggest .

    SEP client version is also SEP 12.1 RU5? Have you recently upgraded?

    Have you contacted support to give them the dump and run advanced logging and provide those? Also, what components are enabled? Seems to be some issues with 12.1.5 lately...

    We upgraded from 12.1.3 to 12.1.5 in oct 2014, since then no issue comes up, suddenly we got the issues on server 2003 as well as on server 2012. We are going to take forward this to symantec support team. If you guys have any idea about that issue please let me know.

    We upgraded from 12.1.3 to 12.1.5 in oct 2014, since then no issue comes up. In march starting we got the issues on server 2003 and server 2012. we are taking this forward to symantec support. If you guys have any idea about this tread (on SEPM 12.1.5) please let me know

    What hardware do you have? Also, what is the definition date of your EFA Sigatues? Latest should be sequence # 150313002

    That issue resolved on sepm 12.1.6

    Blue screen error after upgrading SEP

    Fix ID: 3649959

    Symptom: A blue screen occurs with BugCheck 3b on Symantec Endpoint Protection client, which points to a SymEFA component.

    Solution: Fixed a performance issue which caused the blue screen.

    12.1.6 just came out. Please upgrade to it.

    Upgrade or migrate to Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.6
