This issue has been solved. See solution.

This might be a dumb question but,

is it possible to run a scan using search 'criteria' on all or individual machines specifying "risk name"  through Symantec System Center Console?

For instance, assuming there is a high risk Trojan out there can we tell the antivirus to search for that Trojan only?

 NO thats not possible. AV

 NO thats not possible.

AV has a table containing def signatures and when it scans it compares the file with its whole list.

So you cannot tell AV to compare the hash of the file with only trojan sigs.

Hi Michael,

I think the scan will not look for a particular threat. It will be scanning the files for all the virus definitions available for reference.
