Other than the way <layer id="google-toolbar-hilite-0" style="background-color: Fuchsia; color: black;">Ultimate</layer> and <layer id="google-toolbar-hilite-2" style="background-color: Dodgerblue; color: black;">Enterprise</layer> are activated\licensed, is there any huge difference when it comes to syprepping and imaging.

Due to the economy and saving money, our Fincanial Planners want to save money and go away from the <layer id="google-toolbar-hilite-3" style="background-color: Dodgerblue; color: black;">Enterprise</layer> to the <layer id="google-toolbar-hilite-1" style="background-color: Fuchsia; color: black;">Ultimate</layer> version.

We have asked Microsoft for reasons why we should spend the extra money for <layer id="google-toolbar-hilite-4" style="background-color: Dodgerblue; color: black;">Enterprise</layer> and they have not really given us a good reason

There is no significant difference in the sysprepping and imaging of Ultimate and Enterprise.
Microsoft have chosen for some reason to produce several different versions of Windows 7 - basically choosing to service home/end users and business users with different feature lists.
No doubt there is a feature grid buried somewhere on the Microsoft site - perhaps in the marketing area of the Partner Website. Features such as Bitlocker encryption, for example, are not present in the "Retail" version but do appear in the business releases and top end versions.
No doubt Microsoft are reluctant to disclose information which could lead to a loss in revenue, but don't let that stop you doing a bit of research on Google.

    Edt is correct.

To build off what Edt said, if your company has an EA or SA agreement with Microsoft you can use Enterprise, WHICH includes BItlocker, Applocker, and Language Packs, which for some companies that are international is a big deal for them.  As an example: Windows 7 Pro can NOT handle more than 1 language....yes Microsoft includes ENGLISH as one.....so if you are using english, then you can not install any other Language without Windows getting rid of your English language pack.

    As for imaging/sysprep, no difference.

    Its one or the other.
