I started getting the error, "the system cannot find the drive specified" on all my "copy file to" tasks that have been working fine for a couple of months. I hadn't seen the error at all until we put SP3 on our Deployment Server. Apparently, the problem is caused by the aclient failing to get an inventory of the drives on the client machine. The scripts that refer to the C: drive work just fine, but the file copy tasks would fail.

I found a solution over at Altirigos as well as a posting here by MyITGuy. You just have to force the inventory to do a refresh before you try to do your copies. I thought people might appreciate seeing the note here and I hope it will make the Altiris folks aware that there may be a new bug reintroduced with SP3 and the aclient.

AClient Version

You also might want to ensure that the AClient is the same version as your DS server.  If the builds are not the same it can cause issues with some of your scripts.
