    I just add a new server, 2003 Standard, SP2. Was running 10.1.5 with no other database apps on the old server. Reporting Server was running fine. Did a clean install of 10.1.7 but the reporting server install failed. Moved on for the time being with WSUS that installed SQL Server 05 Express.

     

    Now trying to find out how to get the reporting server running. I saw one reference that it would not run on Express. Do I need to install MSDE manually then rerun the RS setup? I really don't want to screw up anything in WSUS with MSDE.

     

    Any pointers would be appreciated as my SQL/MSDE knowledge is very limited.
