  • 1.  System Center for 10.1.8.8 & clients are showing up "off line"

    I had to reinstall the System Center for 10.1.8.8000, and now all the clients are showing up "off line". I have made the server the "Primary Server"....

    did you change computer name or ip adress? did you try sylink and import new comminication settings?

    hi,

    SSC only or server itself?

    If you renstalled, then the certificates of the server also gets change, hence client will not get to know. You need to drop grc.dat and root certificate on the clients

    Hi Glenn,

    Take a look at the SAV logs on the clients.  Are there any messages in there about the communciations layer failign to initialize, maybe with error code 0x20000022?  If so the problem is likely cert related, like Pete said.

    Communication technology is different in SAV than in SEP.  There's no Sylink, for instance, in SAV.  The following article may help:

    If trouble continues, check back on this forum or contact Technical Support. The issue might take some tinkering, but it's something that can usually be fixed in short order.
