System icons disappear after last layer has been deactivated

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello,

I am using SVW 6.1.4063 and I noticed a weird behaviour on my system. Whenever I deactivate all layers, after the last layer has been deactivated all icons from quicklaunch toolbar and desktop disappear. See screenshot below.

It does not matter which the last deactivated layer is, after the last deactivated layer all icons disappear and have to reboot the system. If I reactivate a layer  the icons come back.

The old SVS 2.1 does not exhibit this behaviour.

Any ideas what might cause the problem?

Thanks, Val

We've been seeing this when

We've been seeing this when layers are active so it's strange that you've got it when layers are deactive.

If you create an empty layer and activate it do the icons come back?

I can confirm that I've

I can confirm that I've encountered the same behavior after deactivating all layers but only in the Beta or Release Candidate of SWV 6.1. It didn't happen to me anymore since the official release of 6.1 MP1 (Build 6.1.4108) or 6.1 MP1 HF1 (6.1.4113.0). Knock on wood I assumed that it got fixed in the public release...

This was fixed a while ago.

As rpfenniger said it's not in MP1.
