System requirements for Symantec Endpoint Protection and Symantec Network Access Control 11.0.7

    Hi,

    I want to install SEP client RU7 MP1 - 11.0.7101.1056 on Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition SP2.

    I have checked link below on OS support:

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH165172

    but it only shows

    Windows Server 2003 R2, Standard Edition/Enterprise Edition/Datacenter Edition/Storage Edition/Web Edition
    Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1, Standard Edition/Enterprise Edition/Datacenter Edition/Storage Edition/Web Edition
    Windows Server 2003 with SP2, Standard Edition/Enterprise Edition/Datacenter Edition/Storage Edition/Web Edition

    as the closest match, but there is no SP2 listed with R2.

    Can you please confirm if Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition SP2 also supported?

    Also please confirm, if this product supports 'file/folder Exclusions'.

    Hello Ambesh,

    Thanks for your reply, but it seems you linked the same page I was referring to.

    ON that page I can not see Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition SP2

    only listed the following:

    - Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition

    no SP2 mentioned

    - Windows Server 2003 with SP2, Standard Edition

    no R2 mentioned

    Yes

    it supports file / folder exclusions

    ASAIK R2 should be considered only for in terms of licensing. 2003 with SP1 and higher is supported

    Hello,

    Yes, It is confirmed that the Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition SP2 is supported by Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.7101.

    and yes, it supports creating of Exceptions - check these Articles:

    This link seems to be about automatically created exclusions.

    Is it also possible to create exclusions manually?
