System Revovery to Virtual machines from virtual images

I have created virtual disks in System Recovery. I want to recover the virtual disks into a Hyper V or VMWare virtual machine.

There are 2 virtual disks. One for System Reserved partition and one for Windows.

When I attach virtual disks to the virtual machine, it doesn't boot the OS. And says "Operating system not found." I tried this with both Hyper V and VMWare virtual disks.

How can I solve this problem?

By default, when you do a virtual conversion, only one virtual disk (VMDK/VHD) should be created.

Is there a reason why you have created 2 virtual disks?
