Symantec Management Platform (Notification Server)

Forgive newb question but, is there a table somewhere which tells me what MR release I have? I can find the number of the version no problem, but how does that correlate to mr release? In other words, what do the numbers mean?

If determined need to upgrade, is there an easy link to latest release versions? i.e....if you have this then you need that?

Same for clients...if I d/l latest client relese and put in install packages for client, does it auto d/l to client or do I have to push?

The document you are looking for is linked here. Each release typically has it's own release notes published, listing the changes made. They don't always come out before the release is made, so it's best to hold off until you can read them.

Each release usually, but not always, includes new client releases. There are upgrade policies that are used to upgrade the agents. These policies need to be enabled after the upgrade is performed. Even if you had the upgrade policies enabled previously, most upgrades disable this to prevent a flood of clients requesting upgrades immediately post installation.
