  • 1.  Tamper Protection Exception not working - SEP 11.x

    Posted Aug 22, 2011 08:47 AM

First off, I have one client on SEP 11.0.4000.2295. Yes, I know this version is very much out of date and needs to be upgraded, which will be done when the change gets approved but for now it has to remain on this version.

I created a tamper protection exclusion but it did not appear to take on the client.

I have confirmed that the client did pick up the latest policy and tried to verify in the registry that the exclusion was there but it was not.

Since this is an old version, does anyone know if there was an issue with setting tamper protection exclusion from the SEPM? If it's a matter of upgrading to fix it than I can live with until I can get it done but just curious.

    Thanks

    Brian

64 bit client, ignoring the exception?

    Hello,

How many clients are you facing this issue on??

Could you try Moving the Client from 1 group to another and check if the polcies start reflecting??

    Hope this helps!!

    1 client.

The latest policy with the exception is being applied, I confirmed this but the alert still continues to show up in the log even though it is set to ignore.

I cannot confirm the entry in the registry because I've found that tamper protection exclusions will not show up in the registry by design, no matter the version.
