  • 1.  Task and Network Boot Services will not install on Altiris 7.5 Site Server

    I have 2 file servers in the same site.  Server_Old and Server_New.  Server_Old has Network Boot, Task, and Package service running on it without issue.  The New server only is allowing the "Package" service on and run on the machine.

    These services have all the known requirements already met; however I'm still getting grey boxes for the 2 services that I need.  Any thoughts?  My only thought is that I can only have 1 site server with those services "per" site.

    The link you provided didnt work, so I can only guess that you have ensud that .Net 3.5.1 is installed, and that the relevant IIS 6 compatibility features have also been installed, yes?

    If you look in resource manager for that machine, does its inventory data confirm that it has .Net 3.5.1 and that it is classed as having the role of a web server?
