Good morning,

Every time I try to send a Copy Item task to a Mac with the Symantec Mangement Agent 7.5.1670 installed, I receive the same exception:

I'm using the Copy File task from Symantec Management Console 7.5.1670.

I know that these Task Handlers were not available in previous versions of Deployment Solution (as indicated in the thread below from nearly 3 years ago), and the current Mac Management Guide for ITMS 7.5 suggests using scripts for these types of tasks.

However, that guide falls short of stating that the "pre-defined" task groups available in the Syamntec Management Console (in the "Deployment and Migration," "Discovery and Inventory" folders, etc.) are not supported on Macs, and I'm having trouble finding any documentation from Symantec on the subject.

Are these tasks supported on Macs, and if not, does Symantec have plans to eventually implement them?

For that task type to work on Windows the DS plug-in needs to be installed, so have you installed the DS plug-in onto the MAC?

I apologize for not following up--the DS plug-in was not installed on the Mac, in this case. Once the plug-in was installed, I was able to run that task type.
