  • 1.  Task History in client agent

    Ok i searched and searched and cant figure this out..

    The agent shows many items and they do not seem right.

    It says certain things have run but they have not. can anyone point me in the direction of what is shown here?

     

    Example.. we have individual vbs files that set a registry key. They get assigned to run once a week and off of a filter.

    on 1/7/12 it says my machine ran 2 of them. these are to set side code keys in the registry. Well the Task History says they both are succeeded with return code of 0. However I created a report that hits off the aex_swd table and that report shows the correct one was ran which is neither that the Task history is showing...

    funny thing is it is showing BLY and HPW tasks ran. but in actuality my report shows LVL ran.. 

     

    so not sure how to interpret the task history window as our clients will be in there looking and questioning this stuff too!!!!! 

    any help appreciated

    Use the Remote Altiris Agent Diagnostics (RAAD) tool to look at the log on the client and see what that says:

    i put a ticket in... 

    im not worried about what RAAD says .. our clients know how to check things in Altiris. We are not on the new version yet. This was to set us to production... 

     

    so I need to know why cuz I will have people asking questions...

    But you still need to find where the discrepancy is, is it the Task History pane of the agent that's different to what the agent log says? You need to know what before you work out why.
