    Hello,

I'm currently running Symantec Endpoint Protection v11.0.6 and I was wondering what processes run in task manager that are associated with SEP? Also are these processes always running? and which part of Endpoint are they assoicated with? i.e. Virus Scan, Proactive Threat Protection, etc.

Thanks for those responses that helps a lot. Now knowing what ccApp.exe is for I have another question. We have been experiencing, on shutdown, ccApp.exe not terminating resulting in the PC not shutting down. Since it won't terminate it pops up a small window asking the user to "end now" however if they walk away before they see the error message the PC doesn't shutdown correctly. What could be causing this?

Are you using outlook auto protect feature? Many people not required it if you have good mail scanner in the organization. You can remove ccApp.exe from msconfig(Start--->Run Type msconfig and click ok .Go to startup).........

    Or
you can uninstall it.Go to Add/remove programs, select SEP click on change-->next-->modify--->near outlook auto protect select this feature not available-->next-->install...

Our company doesn't even use Outlook at all, would this proces be beneficial to any other e-mail program at all? We currently use GroupWise and have network spam filters that keep our inboxes pretty clean free of unauthorized attachements. So does ccApp.exe even do anything if your not running Outlook?

No it wil not work; its only for MS outlook
a dll gets inserted to your outlook add-ons; which does the job
    no outlook; No ccapp.exe
