  • 1.  Task service grayed out

    I have a FS that i need to make a task server but this option is grayed out under the install/ remove services.  Comparing installed software to other TS, they look to be the same. Looking for advice as to where I should be looking to ensure that I could turn this service on.

    IIS or .NET 3.5 are usually what's missing. If you've installed them you might just need to wait for inventory and filter updates to catch up.

    Yep, you need IIS role turned-on and Framework 3.5 installed (starting from 7.1.SP2 release). Make sure your FS reports the inventory to NS and update collections.
