Tasks not reporting back to NS

This issue has been solved. See solution.
I have created tasks that do quick delivery and when I assign them to a pc they run successful, but the status just stays at start pending and eventually over time will change to failed. The clients do not appear to be reporting the status back to the NS, anything I should check for or try?

Check the "Altiris Client Task Data Loader" service on the site server / package server.
This service even though set to automatic was not running on any of my task servers. I was able to start on 1 but the others hung and had to reboot the server (task still didn't start automatically) but was able to get it started.
This was the issue
