After the upgrade, our technicians lost the ability to use PCAnywhere (they have the client, but are getting invalid login when prompted for their AD credentials). I  confirmed in the roles page that remote control is still checked, nothing changed with their role.

They also need the ability on the computers screen to edit the criteria list so they can search by Primary User (this used to be listed by default).

The functions are available to the Symantec Administrators.

Anyone have any ideas on getting these back?  Have a ticket in as well.

Go to Settings > Agents/Plug-ins > All Agents/Plug-ins > Remote Management > Remote Control > Windows and check they have rights in the appropriate pcAnywhere Settings Policy. Use the RAAD tool to make sure the target PC has that pcAnywhere settings policy and no others.

@andykn101 - yes, they have rights in PCAnywhere settings (it wasn't lost in upgrade).  Clients have pcAnywhere settings policy.  I have a client next to me and it works fine if I'm using Symantec Administrator group, but doesn't work if I go down to our standard tech group.  Worked before the upgrade.   Hoping to get a hold of support today.

In case anyone else runs into this - support fixed both issues with following:

Open Security Role Manager (in the SMP Console, Settings>Security>Permissions). Under “All Items” or “Settings” view, select “Computers” (under Settings>Notification Server>Resource and Data Class Settings>Resource Types>Asset Types>IT), click on “Advanced”. It opens a new window. Add the ‘Symantec Level 2 Workers’ and check the box for “Read”. Click ‘Save Changes’ and close the window.
