I just bought a new Dell Vostro 1720. it has a broadcom made wireless adapter. My office tried to
install Symantec Endpoint and now the machine no longer works. I get an infinite loop of dumps
and crashes due to teefer2.sys and a blue screen. I read on Symantec to update the drivers. This
machine CAME with the LATEST driver (I verified that in control manager.) SO NOW WHAT??????
My machine is no longer usable!

Please refer to these Symantec KB's.

boot the machine in safemode and disable all the symantec services and try to reboot the machine in normal mode.
the remove the NTP of sep from add/remove program and check whether the pc boots ok or not.

If you have Windows 7 and you are installing SEP of any version older than 11.0.5002.333 then it is a known problem as 11.0.5002.333 is the certified version for Windows 7.

I have 2 dell laptops running windows7/64 and 11.0.5002.333 of SEP and we've been getting BSOD at least once a day and sometimes withing 5 minutes of each other and its crippling our work. We don't get any BSOD during bootup, we will be working and out of no where will get it. Could be browsing the internet, or possibly reading email etc. The 2 reference links don't seem to apply to us at all, and both machines are exhibiting the exact same behavior.

     Anyone have any ideas?

@ jdeltener, I recommend you open a case with support ASAP. Be prepared to provide the full memory dump for engineering to analyze.

I have Endpoint 11.0.5002.333 on a Dell Studio XPS. It causes blue screen crashes of Windows 7. I haven't found a solution. May have to uninstall Endpoint and use McAfee instead. All software here is updated including Win7, Office, IE8, Java, etc. This is a TeeFer2.sys problem that Symantec needs to solve.

How do you open a case with support. I went to https://mysupport.symantec.com/ and logged in. I only see options there for checking on existing cases. I didn't find any way to create a new case for support.
