Temporarily disable all clients from av console

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I would like to disable all clients temporarily for a day to troubleshoot some network saturation issues. If I go into the liveupdate settings and simply uncheck Use default management server will this disable liveupdates for those clients?

Also if I do this, it will deny it because Group Update provider is selected. I can uncheck that, but I dont want it to lose my settings. Will those settings remain if unchecked?

We are on version 12.1.671.4971

By default, LiveUpdate policy cannot be withdrawn. What you can do is uncheck Use the default management server and check Use a LiveUpdate Server.

You can than add in a "fake" server IP. Example: Something that does not exist.

Please click the "Mark as solution" link at bottom left on the post that best answers your question. This will benefit admins looking for a solution to the same problem.

Thanks Brian81. Strange that you cant do that. Sort of like turning it on or off.
